Costumes

Within our production, costumes were vital to portray the realism of the narrative's events. One way in which we represented this was through the ordinary clothing of all cast members. In doing so, this presents the realism within the narrative and trailer. To really emphasise how spontaneous the kidnapping was, we wanted to feature two similar female characters, wearing virtually identical clothing. Also, the clothing worn by both Rosey and Daniella was casual, and represented that the girls were of a middle class socio-economic status, this interacts with the audience and portrays how such events could easily happen to them. Rosey (Shania Conway) Black Converse trainers Black denim jeans Black t shirt Sleevless coat Daniella (Isa Cusick-Knight) Black denim jeans Converse trainers Black t shirt Fur coat Kidnapper (Henry Dalrymple) Dark blue parka coat Black jeans Black Dr Marten shoes Detective (George Kelly) Checked shirt Chinos Smart brogues

Props List

Throughout the production of "Love Me", we used a wide range of props, to enhance our final product, the trailer. In using our selected props, we were able to portray a sense of realism to the audience, and really set a sinister tone. Furthermore, by emphasising the presence of various props, this defined the narrative clearly towards the audience. Candle & Match The presence of the candle and match within the scene really helps captivate the intentions of the antagonist and kidnapper. Despite kidnapping the female and effectively holding her as a hostage, he intends to care and love her. To emphasise this we used a close up shot of the match lighting the candle. The use of the candle connotes love, portraying the kidnapper's feelings towards Rosey. Rope, Tape & Chair This trio of props were used to tie and keep Rosey, the protagonist, captive. These props symbol the nature of Rosey's kidnapping to be fairly brutal, and she is being held against her will

Characters - Cast List

Henry Dalrymple as 'The Kidnapper' Henry was casted as antagonist of the film. Henry's character's perception of love have been manipulated during his childhood, and consequently he does not understand the concept of love and affection. The motive of Henry's kidnapping were not depicted within the trailer itself, nor was his childhood problems. By leaving these unanswered question around such a complex character, this would be used as a factor to attract our target audience as they seek answers surrounding the kidnapper. However, the various title screens and the title of the film reveal that Henry's intention with the film are not to harm Rosie, but rather receive love from her. Shania Conway as 'Rosie' Shania was casted as the protagonist of the thriller film, who is kidnapped and held captive. During planning, we opted for the name Rosie due to its close relation to a rose or roses. Roses are seen as a flower given to a love one as a gift, and Hen

Settings

When deciding locations for filming during the production of "Love Me", we were looking for the locations to fit a particular criteria. After visiting various destinations within Cambridgeshire, including Duloe, Eaton Socon and Eynesbury. However, we opted to film within St Neots, particularly East Street, as the map above pinpoints. Alleyway/Park We decided that for our trailer to adopt a dark and sinister theme, an alleyway would be the ideal location to demonstrate the theme. The street lamps erected down the alley provided sufficient lighting, enabling us to film the scene clearly and without the need of additional lighting. The alley generate a vital part within the trailer, the kidnapping of the girl. The alley was located just off of East Street, in which of other filming locations were situated such as the Church and house. Therefore, the alley and park were easily accessible on foot. The large space from the park aided the production of "Love Me" as
