We created a basic storyboard to outline the narrative of 'Love Me' and shape our filming of scenes. Although the storyboard did not fully reflect the final product, the storyboard was vital within the construction and filming of 'Love Me' as it gave us something to refer to whilst on set. The budget of our film restricted our filming at some points, and the storyboard could not be followed exactly. For example, a canted shot could not be filmed within the cellar due to the camera not recognising the actors due to the dark. Therefore, we altered the shot to invovled a flashlight.
Our various discussions surrounding our production company, we decided to adopt the name 'Nightfall Studios'. We selected 'Nightfall' as it is representative of the film's thrilling and dark nature. By referring to night, this connotes darkness, and the unknown surrounding the dark. Furthermore, within our production, "Love Me", the protagonist operates largely within the dark, kidnapping his victims. When discussing our logo, we collectively knew that we wanted it to feature a dark setting, situated at night. The street lamp slowly lights the setting, but not fully, leaving uncertainties lurking within the crevices of darkness. The logo eventually fades to black, creating an ideal beginning for our film. Overall, our logo is applicable to our thriller genre, as the logo connotes darkness alongside a gloomy undertone depicted by the street light partially illuminating the street.
